I am responsible for designing and "skinning" various web sites and portals using CSS, W3C standards compliant HTML and non obtrusive Javascript. I work in conjunction with Pearl and Java developers in various environments such Spring (Java), Sandboxes (Perl). I am responsible for implementing web change requests on the many BiP web sites and for making functional updates when required. I liaise with technical and non technical staff throughout the company for many projects and day to day improvements.
I was responsible for the design and print of the Groove magazine and the design and maintenance of the www.onlinegroove.co.uk web site for young people aged between 12 - 25. I also design and prepared all promotional material for the project. As well as working in the design studio I attended and participated in youth focus groups throughout North Lanarkshire and conducted research which influenced development of the Groove website and magazine.
